This automatic humidification system was developed together with Boveda. It does not require any kind of maintenance, the humidity level is always kept at a level between 45% and 50% in the case of your instrument. Unlike many other systems, this system not only adds moisture, but also removes moisture when needed.
This pack contains 3 Humidipacks and a pouch that protects the finish of your instrument from scratches. Each pack has an autonomy of 2 to 6 months and should be stored in a closed environment such as a guitar case. As soon as the Humidipacks harden you can throw them away and replace them.
Two-Way Humidification System
D'Addario brings you Bovedas proprietary technology as part of our instrument care line. The Two-Way Humidification System (formerly Humidipak) is the only maintenance-free, two-way humidity control system for guitar. It automatically sets the optimum 45-50% relative humidity level within your instrument case, eliminating the guesswork and potential mess associated with refilling a humidifier. Unlike refillable humidifiers, this system true "two-way" purifies moisture by adding and removing moisture on demand. No manual adjustments based on seasonal changes, geographic locations, temperature or other factors. The Two-Way Humidification System comes with 3 Humidipaks and a soft mesh pouch that won't harm the finish of your instrument. These packages last between 2 and 6 months and should always be kept in a closed environment such as a hard cover. After the packs are firm, discard and replace using the 3 refills that come in the D'Addario Two-Way Humidification Replacement Pack (PW-HPRP-03). This all new, reformulated, patented two-way humidification system maintains 45-50% relative humidity that eliminates all maintenance and guesswork.
