The Gibson Les Paul Zakk Wylde Vertigo is constructed using a fine selection of materials to Gibson's high standard; including mahogany body, maple LP custom binding on top and back and 50´s maple neck in natural satin, topped with a maple, acrylic block inlays and white binding fingerboard. The Zakk Wylde Vertigo Les Paul is finished with the high-quality Gibson components we've come to expect, EMG-85/EMG-81 pickups, chrome hardware with grover kidney keys, multi-ply binding and split diamond inlays headstock. Daarom heeft Epiphone de nieuwe Les Paul Ultra III ook gewoon hetzelfde uiterlijk en dezelfde eigenschappen gegeven als de traditionele Les Paul, maar er wel het een en ander aan toegevoegd. Met de (meegeleverde) USB-kabel kun je direct inpluggen in je computer, zodat je gitaarprogramma's kunt gebruiken zoals Native Instruments GuitarRig 4LE (software meegeleverd).

Toen de ES-175 debuteerde met een serie van 129 in 1949, stond hij direct naast de ES-150, wat de gitaarkeus was van vernieuwende jazz-gitaristen als Charlie Christian en Eddie Durham.
