While the SG Standard's original specs included a pair of humbucking pickups, many players have always loved the hot, raw sound of single-coil P-90 pickups, as found on the SG Special and Junior guitars, which otherwise had more austere features. Now Gibson USA introduces the SG Standard With P-90s, which features all the appointments of the Standard model, but is equipped with a pair of authentic P-90 pickups. Finished in your choice of Heritage Cherry or Ebony Black—both in hand-sprayed, high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer—the SG Standard With P-90s brings together the features and electronics of two legendary SG models for the first time, and creates a timeless classic in the process.
