 Epiphone Les Paul Ultra III… De meeste gitaristen houden diep van binnen toch het meest van de klassieke ontwerpen en vormen. Daarom heeft Epiphone de nieuwe Les Paul Ultra III ook gewoon hetzelfde uiterlijk en dezelfde eigenschappen gegeven als de traditionele Les Paul, maar er wel het een en ander aan toegevoegd. Door de nieuwe technologie in deze gitaar heb je wel een echte Les Paul maar ook zoveel meer! De twee pickupsystemen op de nieuwe Ultra-III zijn het belangrijkste onderdeel. Het eerste bestaat uit Epiphone's nieuwe ProBucker humbucker-pickups, ontworpen naar de beroemde BurstBuckers van Gibson. Het tweede systeem heeft Shadow, de gepatenteerde NanoMag pickup uit Duitsland, onopvallend gepositioneerd aan het eind van de toets. Deze twee systemen samen geven je een krachtige humbucker-gedreven rock crunch én schitterende akoestisch-achtige klanken, en natuurlijk alles daartussenin. Onopvallend weggestopt in de bevestigingsring van de brugpickup zit een volledig uitgeruste chromatische tuner. Terwijl de Ultra-III vol zit met technologie, houdt hij toch dezelfde basiseigenschappen die de Epiphone Les Paul tot eerste keus gemaakt hebben voor veel gitaristen. Zoals een massieve mahonie body met gelijmde mahonie hals en comfortabel Slim Taper halsprofiel, een gevlamd maple fineer bovenblad en palissander toets. Het resultaat is een moderne gitaar met de klassieke Les Paul klank en sustain. De Ultra-III heeft drie verschillende outputs. DOor de standaard 1/4" MONO output te gebruiken, worden de Humbuckers én de NanoMag gemixt in één signaal. Wanneer je nog een 1/4" kabel in zijn STEREO output plugt, worden de Humbuckers door de ene kabel gestuurd, en de NanoMag door de andere. De derde output is USB. Met de (meegeleverde) USB-kabel kun je direct inpluggen in je computer, zodat je gitaarprogramma's kunt gebruiken zoals Native Instruments GuitarRig 4LE (software meegeleverd).

 Gibson Custom Paul Kossoff… Paul Kossoff had a unique take on the blues-rock movement, exhibited particularly in the masterful vibrato that helped to give his Les Paul a huge, dynamic voice—and the 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard on which he achieved such heights is known to be one of greatest sounding ’Bursts ever made. Since Paul’s death in 1976, this coveted guitar has remained in the possession of Arthur Ramm, Paul’s close personal friend. Now, in cooperation with the Kossoff estate, Gibson Custom has gained access to this incredible Les Paul in order to painstakingly recreate it in strictly limited numbers. Digitally scanned, measured and tested in England by Gibson Custom, this rare piece of musical history has been documented in intimate detail in order to recreate as closely as possible the tone, look and feel of the guitar in its current condition, as Paul left it when he passed away. The result, presented by Gibson Custom in the form of the Paul Kossoff 1959 Les Paul Standard, will be reproduced as just 100 hand-aged guitars, and a further 250 guitars treated with Gibson’s proprietary VOS process.
