It would be a big mistake to assume that all humbuckers sound alike. Truth is, there are a number of Gibson humbucking pickups available, and each one has its own distinctive personality. The BurstBucker Series delivers all the vintage vibe of the legendary "patent applied for" (PAF) humbuckers, best known from the 1959 Les Paul Standard. All three BurstBuckers have unpolished magnets and non-potted coils. There was tremendous variation among those early hand-wound humbucking pickups. Employees would wind the bobbins "until they were full." This was typically about 5,000 turns. The BurstBucker 2 is wound in the range of the original 1957 Classic, with slightly hotter output than the BurstBucker 1. It works well in the bridge position, matched with a BurstBucker 1 in the neck position. This one has double black coils and no cover.

Gibson IM59B Burstbucker Pr… It would be a big mistake to assume that all humbuckers sound alike. Truth is, there are a number of Gibson humbucking pickups available, and each one has its own distinctive personality. The BurstBucker Pro adds Alnico 5 magnets to the original BurstBucker design, which captured the subtle variations in true humbucker tone thanks to historically accurate "unmatched" bobbins. Used in the bridge position, the BurstBucker Pro delivers rich, smooth low end response along with a complex, satisfying midrange crunch. These pickups sound great clean or they can be used to push your amp into overdrive for the fat, smoky sound you can only get with a humbucker. All BurstBucker Pro pickups are wax potted to minimize feedback and noise. This one comes with a nickel plated pickup cover

Seymour Duncan SAPH2B Alnic… Though he has dozens of amazing guitars, since 1986 Slash has used pretty much one very special Les Paul ® for all recording. The Alnico II Pro Slash was designed to give Slash's other Les Paul guitars-what he calls his "live guitars"-the exact tone of this legendary instrument. Like the standard APH-1 Alnico II Pro, this pickup uses an Alnico 2 magnet. However, the Slash model is wound with just enough boosted output to push a stock Les Paul toward the sweet sustain and rude crunch that characterizes Slash's sound as heard on hundreds of tracks. In addition, it comes with some of the same appointments found on the Seymour Duncan pickups in Slash's '86 recording axe, including single-conductor cable, long-legged bottom plate, and wooden spacer. For the true fan, or the player who wants to capture Slash's recorded tone, this pickup is a critical part of the tone chain. This is same pickup found in the newest Gibson® Slash model Les Paul.

Gibson SG 61 Reissue Satin… Introduced more than a half-century ago, the Gibson SG Standard achieved legendary status almost from the moment it hit the scene in 1961. This sleek double-cutaway rocker had a slim, light body but no shortage of power and sustain, and the kind of fast playability that the guitar world had not previously experienced. Originally introduced as a replacement for the single-cutaway Les Paul, the SG held firm even after the LP's return in the late '60s, and has retained its iconic status with rock and blues players ever since, while displaying its versatility by making inroads into virtually all other types of amplified music. To pay homage to the original image of the 1961 SG Standard, Gibson introduces the SG '61 Reissue Satin, a guitar that packs all the most desirable features of vintage SGs, with a great "satin" finish that gives it the look and feel of a well-aged classic, in your choice of Worn Cherry, Worn Brown or Satin Ebony, all in hand-sprayed nitrocellulose lacquer.

Gibson Les Paul Classic Cus… When guitarist and inventor Les Paul conceived the Custom model in the mid-1950s, he envisioned it as a "black tie" guitar suitable for the most elegant occasions. In the years since then, the Les Paul Custom has come to represent all of that and more. The most dressed-up of the Les Paul production line, the Custom is nevertheless a full-bore rocker, suitable for the heaviest riffs you want to throw at it, while still excelling on the blues, jazz, pop or fusion stage. The Les Paul Classic Custom from Gibson USA stands true to its heritage, keeping the unique touches that make it stand out at a price players will appreciate. Featuring premium tonewoods and top-flight appointments, this is an instrument of astounding beauty and surprising versatility. With all the legendary power of the Les Paul Standard, and a Custom look that stands out from the crowd, the Les Paul Classic Custom is available in your choice of five stunning high-gloss nitrocellulose finishes: Antique Natural, Goldtop, Cream, Wine Red and Ebony Black, all with chrome-plated hardware for a look that is subtly elegant.
