Crafted for those that prefer the traditional tone and feel of the Us Paul Custom in a bolder aesthetic, the Limited Edition Us Paul Custom Maple is sure to please. Sonically and from a tactile standpoint maple and ebony perform in very similar fashion; both provide slightly brighter attack and a solidfeel that compliments "faster" play. This small batch run of maple board Us Paul Customs is a distinguished reverse on the traditional "tuxedo" look of the original Us Paul Custom. The Us Paul Custom's entire tone palette is left intact, with a 490R pickup installed in the rhythm position and a 498T in the treble position. Visually, the departure is bold with maple's light appearance slightly "washing out" the pearl block inlays and 1 layer (neck and back) and 5 layer (headstock, top and back) black and white binding appointments, an Inverse effect of the traditional Custom's ebony board, which serves to bring the same elements into bold relief. It's a matter of taste that has led to this feature becoming one of the more frequently chosen custom options when players commission a customized Us Paul. For the first time, Gibson Custom Shop is offering a limited number of maple board Us Paul Customs In our two most popular finishes; ebony and alpine white. Both are true to the original modem Us Paul Custom in every other way, from th#ir electronics to their aesthetic appointments, which include the iconic "split-diamond" inlay adorning the headstock.

Deze limited run Les Paul Custom heeft een mahonie body en bovenblad, en ook een mahonie hals. Deze hals is voorzien van een palissander toets met blokinleg. Een CustomBucker halspickup en een BurstBucker 2 brugpickup zorgen voor de klank. Tot zover de technische details, maar de bijzonderste eigenschap had je natuurlijk al op de afbeelding gezien: de geweldige semi-transparante TV Inverness Green lak en de goudkleurige hardware!
