Epiphone's Firebird Studio combineert de "omgekeerde-body" style van de originele serie met het traditionele gezette halsontwerp en Alnico Classic humbucker pickups. Om het af te maken heeft de Firebird Studio Steinberger 40:1 stemknoppen die eenvoudig zijn in gebruik en een ongeëvenaarde stem-precisie leveren, terwijl het traditionele Firebird "banjo" stemknop-uiterlijk behouden blijft. De Firebird Studio is ook beschikbaar in de 'versleten' cherry look, en dat is niet voor niets want, hoewel de gitaar nieuw is, heeft hij de warmte en het speelgevoel van een vintage instrument. Deze Epiphone elektrische gitaar heeft alles wat gitaristen mooi vinden aan de Gibson Firebird studio - een mahonie body, een gezette mahonie hals, en Alnico Classic humbuckers - en verpakt dit in een prachtige afwerking. De Epiphone Firebird Studio gitaar heeft een mensuurlengte van 63 cm, stippen-inleg op de toets, stopbar staartstuk, en chromen hardware.
