Gibson 50th Anniversary Of… They might have originated from two very different companies on the opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean, but the Gibson Les Paul and Marshall amplifiers were a marriage made in rock heaven right from the start. From the time Jim Marshall put his name on the first fire-breathing JTM45 head in 1962, it was clear that this was the amp the Les Paul had been waiting for. To celebrate 50 Years of the most iconic amplifier brand in the history of rock, Gibson Custom and Marshall Amplification are proud to introduce the very Limited Edition 50th Anniversary of Marshall Les Paul Goldtop. Based on the highly sought-after Gibson Custom Shop 1957 Les Paul Reissue Goldtop, this guitar will be produced in a strictly limited run of 50 pieces worldwide, each one hand-aged by Tom Murphy. From select tonewoods, to PAF-style pickups, to trim details and playing feel, the 50th Anniversary of Marshall Les Paul Goldtop captures one of the most desirable vintage Les Pauls of all time, and adds commemorative details that make it a must for any true collector and the perfect partner to Marshall's Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Bluesbreaker (1962LE). Gibson Custom Paul Kossoff… Paul Kossoff had a unique take on the blues-rock movement, exhibited particularly in the masterful vibrato that helped to give his Les Paul a huge, dynamic voice—and the 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard on which he achieved such heights is known to be one of greatest sounding ’Bursts ever made. Since Paul’s death in 1976, this coveted guitar has remained in the possession of Arthur Ramm, Paul’s close personal friend. Now, in cooperation with the Kossoff estate, Gibson Custom has gained access to this incredible Les Paul in order to painstakingly recreate it in strictly limited numbers. Digitally scanned, measured and tested in England by Gibson Custom, this rare piece of musical history has been documented in intimate detail in order to recreate as closely as possible the tone, look and feel of the guitar in its current condition, as Paul left it when he passed away. The result, presented by Gibson Custom in the form of the Paul Kossoff 1959 Les Paul Standard, will be reproduced as just 100 hand-aged guitars, and a further 250 guitars treated with Gibson’s proprietary VOS process.

Gibson Joe Walsh 1960 Les P… Joe Walsh is a rare and distinguished member of the rock and roll élite who has managed to retain his distinctive and instantly recognizable tone and playing style through the course of a career spanning five decades. From joining the James Gang in 1968, to his long and ongoing solo career, to his pivotal role as lead guitarist with the Eagles, that thick, rich, sustaining Les Paul tone has remained the centerpiece of Joe’s sound. Now the look, feel, and tone of his own exalted original 1960 Les Paul Standard has been recreated in exacting detail by the world-renowned craftspeople of Gibson Custom as the Joe Walsh 1960 Les Paul Standard. Working closely with Joe Walsh, the guitar’s current owner, and the guitar itself, Gibson Custom has analyzed this rare original ’Burst in exacting detail, reproducing it with unprecedented precision in a Limited Run totaling 250 guitars: 50 hand-aged by Tom Murphy and signed by the artist, a further 75 Murphy aged, and 125 treated to Gibson’s proprietary VOS processes. The result is a dead-on 1960 Standard that not only offers every drop of that legendary Joe Walsh tone, but which also presents the magical look and feel of this beloved artist’s guitar. From the carefully hand-selected maple top, to the accurate “tangerine burst” finish, to a neck profile measured precisely from the original guitar, to the Custom Bucker PAF-style pickups and period-correct electronics, the Joe Walsh 1960 Les Paul Standard is a stunning recreation of one of the most desirable electric guitars ever made. In addition, as a member of the 2013 class of Historic instruments, the Joe Walsh 1960 Les Paul features Gibson Custom’s 20th Anniversary Specifications: genuine aniline dye back and sides, historically accurate truss rod assembly with no tubing, hot hide glue neck joint, historically accurate binding color, and 1 piece Rosewood fingerboard. All together, it presents a rare opportunity to own the closest thing possible to this historic artist guitar. Reserve yours now at your authorized Gibson Custom dealer. Gibson Custom lays down the foundation for the Joe Walsh 1960 Les Paul Standard by marrying a solid, lightweight, one-piece, Grade-A mahogany body with a top carved from maple that has been hand selected to match the look of Joe’s original guitar. A thin nitrocellulose “tangerine burst” finish and your choice of hand aging by Tom Murphy or Gibson’s VOS treatment complete the authentic look and feel. A quarter-sawn Grade-A mahogany neck is carved to an accurate 1960 profile that measures 0.800” at the 1st fret and 0.854” at the 12th, and topped with a one-piece, Grade-A rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays made from period-correct cellulose nitrate, and a nylon 6/6 nut at the top end. To ensure that the Joe Walsh 1960 Les Paul Standard sounds every bit as sublime as it looks, Gibson Custom loads it with a pair of Custom Bucker pickups, made with Alnico III magnets and wound to precisely match the specs of Joe’s original PAF humbuckers. The traditional four-knob Les Paul control complement includes “bumble bee” tone capacitors on the tone potentiometers, and a three-way pickup selector. The accurate ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge is set up with its saddles slanted precisely as found on Joe’s original guitar, and partners with a lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece. A set of Grover™ kidney-button tuners, a common upgrade on guitars of the era, offer smooth and precise tuning. The body and fingerboard binding, pickguard, truss-rod cover, switch ring, and control cavity covers are all period-correct for shape and color, and the guitar’s controls carries four gold Top Hat knobs with silver Vol/Tone inserts. All guitars include a Gibson Custom hardshell case. Fifty guitars will be hand-aged by Tom Murphy and signed by the artist and come complete with a leather-bound Certificate of Authenticity. All guitars include Certificate of Authenticity, owner’s manual and adjustment literature.

Gibson Collectors Choice No… Gibson Custom’s Collector’s Choice™ series is devoted to painstaking replication of choice original vintage Les Pauls. As a result, these guitars bring players and collectors closer to owning a specific, existing vintage Les Paul than anything else available on the market. The latest in the series—Collector’s Choice™ #8 1959 Les Paul “The Beast”—embodies everything that made the 1959 Les Paul legendary in the first place, in the exacting image of a true workhorse ’Burst that has toured the stages and studios of the world in the hands of a legendary rocker. British guitarist Bernie Marsden is one of rock’s true road warriors. As a founding member of Whitesnake and guitarist with several other bands, projects, and notable solo artists, Bernie has laid down some of rock’s hottest riffs for more than five decades, and his prized 1959 Les Paul, serial number 9–1914, has been there through it all. Through the collaboration between the craftspeople at Gibson Custom and the generous cooperation of owner/artist Bernie Marsden himself, this hallowed ’Burst now comes to life in a strictly Limited Edition with a maximum of 300 guitars, all representing every detail of this road-tested veteran, from its faded “Dirty Lemon” finish, to its patina and playing wear—and most of all, its feel and tone. The process of creating a Collector’s Choice™ guitar involves detailed hands-on analysis of the original, along with intimate digital scanning and precise measurement of every output and specification. The exceptional accuracy used to craft Collector’s Choice™ #8 1959 Les Paul “The Beast” includes attaining similar lightweight, one-piece mahogany bodies and similarly figured carved maple tops, recreating the precise beefy ’50s neck to match the original’s distinctive and individual profile, and developing a custom-wound set of pickups that includes a Burstbucker #2 in the neck and a Burstbucker #3 in the bridge to recreate The Beast’s unique chimey-to-throaty tone range. To take it all further, Gibson Custom accurately matches every nuance of the finish aging and playing wear found on the original, with the result that the final guitars have been thoroughly approved by Bernie himself for adherence to the original’s look, feel, and tone. In addition to being an uncannily accurate recreation of a legendary guitar, Collector’s Choice™ #8 1959 Les Paul “The Beast” also features Gibson Custom’s 20th Anniversary Historic Specifications, which bring the Custom Shop reproductions closer to the real thing than ever before. These specifications, introduced for 2013, include a single-layer rosewood fingerboard, hot hide glue neck joint, accurate fingerboard and body binding color, historically accurate truss rod assembly, and genuine aniline dye for the guitar’s back, neck, and sides. Further period-correct details are found in the neck’s nylon 6/6 nut, holly headstock veneer with pearl Gibson logo, reissue Kluson™ Deluxe tuners, ABR-1 bridge with lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece, Bumble Bee tone caps, and more. For player’s and collector’s seeking the look, feel, and tone of an exceptional original 1959 Les Paul Model guitar played and loved by a respected artist, Collector’s Choice™ #8 1959 Les Paul “The Beast” represents a rare opportunity. The guitar will be produced in no fewer than 25 and no more than 300 examples, depending on the availability of suitable materials, and each will include a silkscreened brown Custom Shop hardshell case and owner’s manual and a Custom Shop Collector’s Choice™ #8 Artist Certificate of Authenticity.

Gibson Joe Perry 1959 Les P… Of all the great original 1959 Standards out there—a pretty small number to begin with—Joe Perry’s own Les Paul has long been acclaimed as one of the finest. The rich, road-worn character of this guitar, serial number 9-0663, is utterly moving, and it seems to throb with the wealth of music and experience earned over decades of being played on stages and in recording studios around the world. In Joe’s own words, “It’s got everything a great Les Paul is supposed to have. The neck isn’t quite as fat as, say, a ’54 Goldtop, but it’s still got a good, meaty neck. It’s not a high-output guitar, so it’s got a lot of tone… And it’s got all the natural sustain and warmth, and when you turn it up it growls.” As stunning a tone monster as this guitar is, however, the story of its passage in and out of Perry’s hands over the years is equally riveting. Slash, Boston area guitar legend Billy Loosigian, and Eric Johnson have all owned number 9-0663 over the years, as it did the rounds through the various ups and downs of Aerosmith’s career. Once it was clear that Joe had made the shift from struggling to thriving as an artist, he sought to recapture his most cherished axe for good. Many years, many phone calls, and many near misses later, this amazing 1959 Les Paul returned to the man who seemed destined to call it his own. Thanks to Gibson Custom and Joe Perry, you can now own the closest possible thing to Joe’s most prized guitar, in the form of one of a very limited run of replicas based on exclusive access to the original. The Joe Perry 1959 Les Paul was created from painstaking examination and measurement of the original guitar, and delivers the full tone, feel, and look of this highly prized ’Burst. It is available now in a limited run of 50 guitars aged and hand-signed by the artist, 100 aged guitars, and 150 finished in Gibson’s VOS process. Gibson Custom has gone to great lengths with the Joe Perry 1959 Les Paul to create a guitar that possesses the very spirit of the original. The recreation starts with a solid, one-piece premium lightweight mahogany body married to a hand-selected maple top. The guitar is finished in an exclusive Faded Tobacco Burst with Historic “Vintage” aniline red and dark walnut dye on the back, sides, and back of the neck, just like the original The hand-aged examples show characteristic wear that authentically matches the playing wear on the original, while the VOS guitars display a gently-aged patina in the finish and hardware. The neck is carved from a single piece of quarter-sawn mahogany and profiled to a full and sweetly rounded ’59 shape derived from precise measurement of Joe’s own guitar, then topped with a one-piece rosewood fingerboard inlaid with period-correct cellulose trapezoids. A set of Kluson Deluxe tuners, a lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece, and ABR-1 bridge complete a period-correct hardware complement, while vintage cream binding, gold Top Hat knobs, and a cream plastic pickguard enhance the guitar’s vintage looks. The Joe Perry 1959 Les Paul sounds every bit as phenomenal as it looks and feels, thanks to a pair of Custombucker humbucking pickups designed to closely match the original PAFs in Joe’s guitar. Each is made with an Alnico 3 magnet and wound with accurate plain-enamel 42 AWG plain-enamel wire to specs determine by close measurement of the original pickups, with a neck pickup that reads around 8k ohms and bridge pickup that’s slightly hotter at 8.5k ohms for plenty of authentic growl. Controls include the traditional independent volume and tones, with “bumble bee” tone caps on the latter, and a three-way Switchcraft™ axial toggle selector. Put it all together, and it’s like making this well-traveled, rock-history-making Les Paul your very own—but the Joe Perry 1959 Les Paul is only available in strictly limited numbers, so reserve yours now. Each guitar includes a Brown Custom Shop hardshell case, along with Certificate of Authenticity, owner’s manual and adjustment literature.

Gibson Les Paul Standard 19… In 1959, the Les Paul Standard made a change to wider, fatter jumbo frets which made it a more facile guitar. Then the Les Paul began its ascent toward ultimate icon status. Gibson Les Paul Custom 54 E… Custom: exclusive, elite, unparalleled. When guitar star Les Paul sound down with Gibson in the early 1950s to devise the revolutionary instrument that would carry his name, he envisioned two versions of the Les Paul Model: a “standard” version with gold top finish and nickel-plated hardware, and a Custom model that would be the crème de la crème. This Les Paul Custom would be dressed in formal wear, like the tux a jazz artist might pull on for a major performance, with a high-gloss Ebony black finish, multi-ply binding on body and headstock, an ebony fingerboard with pearl block markers, a larger headstock with mother-of-pearl split-diamond inlay, and gold-plated hardware throughout. As busy as Gibson was getting its debut solidbody electric guitar into production, the Goldtop was the first model out of the box in 1952, with the Custom on the back burner for further development. With the Goldtop off and running and gathering fans fast, Gibson turned its attention to designing the Les Paul Custom in 1953, planning for a release the following year, and prepared to make it something special. In addition to Paul’s desired Custom appointments, it gave this high-end electric the best of its new developments in hardware and electronics.

Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul… This historic Les Paul 54 Reissue VOS from the Gibson Custom Shop features a beautiful flamed maple top with Iced Tea finishing. The Gibson Les Paul R4 guitar is equipped with dual Gibson P-90 pickups that offer a snappy, slightly gritty response, with a chunky midrange, firm lows, and sweet, musical highs. The P-90 was the standard pickup on all Gibson guitars in the late 1940s and into the 1950s and because of its crisp, bright tone it has experienced resurgence in popularity with many of today's modern rockers. In the bridge position, the P-90 packs plenty of snarly cutting power, while in the neck position it can be surprisingly rich and refined. You'll find that the P-90s' high output and biting treble has more nuanced harmonic coloring than the typical single-coil pickup.

Gibson 1960 Reissue Plainto… The Gibson 1960 Les Paul Plain Top, Iced Tea is a 6-string eletric guitar and a reissue of one of the rarest Les Paul models ever. The Gibson 1960 Les Paul Plain Top celebrates the 1960 Les Paul, which was originally made in short supply due to the Les Paul's dwindling sales in the late 1950s. As Gibson were changing the Les Paul design into what became the SG, there was a three-year period where the traditional Les Paul design was made with subtle design changes. The 1960 Les Paul could arguably be called an 'in-between' model, as it featured the all-solid body and Patent-Applied-For pickups of the 1950s models, with a slim tapered neck from the 1960s. The 1960 Les Paul Plain Top Reissue features a solid mahogany body with a beautiful plain maple top. The neck is mahogany and cut into a 1960s slim, tapered neck and topped by a rosewood fingerboard. There are 22 frets, decorated with trapezoid inlays. The 1960 LP PT Reissue is fitted with a pair of Burstbucker pickups, made with unpolished magnets and non-potted coils, providing vintage tones like those found in the 1950s Patent-Applied-For pickups. There are Volume and Tone controls for each pickup as well as a 3-way pickup selector switch. Additional appointments include CTS pots and bumblebee capacitors, an ABR-1 bridge and stopbar tailpiece. The 1960 Les Paul Plain Top is finished in an Iced Tea colour and comes complete with a Custom Shop Hardshell case and a certificate of authenticity.

Gibson Les Paul Supreme Alp… Since the arrival of a sunburst finish on its carved maple top in 1958, the Gibson Les Paul Standard has been considered the most elegant solidbody electric guitar on the planet. Occasional examples of these rare guitars from 1958-60 showed off gorgeously figured wood beneath their translucent 'burst finishes, setting a standard for the marriage of art and luthiery. Taking this look to its extreme, the Gibson USA Les Paul Supreme marries a carved Grade-AAAA figured top and back to the classic Les Paul design, for a guitar of unprecedented beauty. This model bears all the hallmarks of an ornate custom-made instrument, with seven-ply top binding, three-ply back binding, a bound Richlite® fingerboard with mother-of-pearl (MoP) split-block inlays, a showpiece headstock trimmed in five-ply binding with deluxe MoP globe inlay and "Supreme" banner, MoP Gibson logo, an engraved brass truss-rod cover, gold hardware, and even gold-tinted frets. With gorgeous flamed maple on both sides of a chambered mahogany body core, the Les Paul Supreme is nothing short of stunning, and your choice of translucent high-gloss Heritage Cherry Burst or Desert Burst finish shows off this exalted wood with real class. More than just an incredible looker, however, the Les Paul Supreme is also a powerful tone machine. A pair of Gibson's most popular humbucking pickups with genuine Alnico magnets yield a wide array of voices, from sultry to scorching, while traditional Gibson constructional details such as a 17-degree back-angled headstock, a PLEK-cut Corian nut, and rock-solid Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece pairing team up to provide unparalleled sustain and resonance. Each guitar includes a plush-lined black hardshell case and full owner's manual.

The Epiphone Les Paul Ultra III: Tradi…
We all know that deep down, most guitarists love the classic designs and shapes. That's why Epiphone designed the new Les Paul Ultra-III with the same look and features of a traditional Les Paul but added new technology giving you a guitar that's a real Les Paul but also so much more! Two Great Pickup Systems At the heart of the new Ultra-III are two pickup systems. Powering the first are Epiphone's new ProBucker humbucking pickups patterned after Gibson's famous BurstBuckers.
