 Taylor Cocobolo Grand Audit… Eén van de meest zware en solide palissander soorten verkrijgbaar, Mexicaans cocobolo geeft een heldere, dynamische klank. Bij deze cocobolo/Sitka spruce gitaar, werd cocobolo ook gebruikt als visuele versterking van de inleg aan de voorzijde van de gitaar. Een dunne band van cocobolo volgt de elegante lijnen van de gitaar, terwijl het motief rond het klankgat ook een slinger van cocobolo heeft, welke fraai contrasteert met het boterachtige palmhout, een langzaam groeiende houtsoort met een dichtheid vegelijkbaar met ebbenhout. Palmhout werd ook gebruikt voor een nieuwe split diamant inleg in de toets, welke refereert aan de s golfvorm rond het klankgat. Andere houtrijke details zijn een cocobolo brugband en figured maple binding. Wat klank betreft wordt de dichtheid van cocobolo prachtig vertaald naar een heldere bel-achtige toon met een piano-achtige kwaliteit in de lage tonen. Inclusief koffer.

 Taylor Koa Grand Symphony L… The flamey AA-grade koa earmarked for this series was so seductive we couldn't resist going all-koa. Larry Breedlove's rosette design incorporates a serpentine swath of koa set against creamy boxwood. The koa/boxwood pairing carries over to the Engraved Twist fretboard inlay, in which the design's swirling complexity is tempered with the subtle, organic quality of thin wood lines. A shaded edgeburst around the entire guitar — including the neck — adds a touch of vintage Hawaiian charm that's complemented by rosewood binding, thin white purfling, and Gotoh tuners. Tonally, a koa top should make koa's natural midrange sweetness even more pronounced, especially after the guitar has been played in. Taylor Limiteds najaar 2011
Een lading schitterende eersteklas KOA en een grote hoeveelheid Mexicaans Cocobolo bleken de belangrijkste inspiratie voor het ontwerp van de Taylor Limiteds voor het najaar van 2011. Beide houtsoorten, met hun opvallende verschijning, inspireerden tot een aantal geweldige gitaren waarin de houtsoorten schitterend tot hun recht komen. Verankerd door een nieuw rozetontwerp en bijbehorende toetsinleg, die samen een samenhangend en organisch uiterlijk creëren voor iedere serie. De Koa en Cocobolo Limiteds zijn echt iets heel speciaals voor gitaarliefhebbers die houden van de schoonheid van verfijnde houtdetails.
