De Marshall 1959SLP 100 Watt super lead plexiglas head van de late jaren '60 / vroege jaren '70 is heruitgegeven, en in alle glorie hersteld. De 1959SLP is in productie geweest sinds de late sixties, maar met verschillende elektrische en cosmetische veranderingen sindsdien. De modellen uit de begintijd worden door de echte klank-goeroes gezien als de beste exemplaren. Na veel zoekwerk is het Marshall gelukt twee versterkers uit die periode te bemachtigen, volgepakt met alle klank en vette velvet overdrive. Deze twee klankmonsters werden aan hun gitaarspelende R&D experts gegeven, en het werd aan hen overgelaten om een heruitgave te creëren die zo authentiek was dat niemand het verschil kon horen. Daarin slaagden ze, en de 1959SLP heruitgave kwam tot leven!

Here's what Marshall have to say about these highly collectable and desirable amps. Starting with the decade in which Marshall Amplification as a company was born, the JTM1 truly reflects the origins of the company. Based on the tone stack of the JTM45, and as if the inputs had been 'jumped', the JTM1 is the simplest amp in the range in terms of layout, but still has all the warmth, brashness and bite you would expect in an amp based on this decade. Everything from bright clean in the amps lower volume stages, to true Marshall Crunch in the upper can be found; think windmill arm actions and the wind crying Mary! Although each of the five amplifiers within the 50th Anniversary One Watt range are unique, the series also have some common features; they are all made with pride at our UK factory, and will only be so during 2012 making these amplifiers limited edition. Each model will be available as both a one watt combo incorporating an 8" or 10" Celestion speaker (varying from model to model), and a one watt head. Other common features include 8 and 16 ohm speaker outputs on the heads and combos, era correct cosmetic details, a commemorative rear panel plaque, and a unique low power switch on each of the units' rear panels, allowing you to instantly take the power from 1 watt to 0.1 watt for the ultimate Marshall bedroom volume.

Jim Marshall overleden
Jim Marshall - of 'The Father of Loud' zoals hij genoemd werd - is vandaag op 88-jarige leeftijd overleden. Jim was in 1962 de oprichter van het bedrijf dat al decennia lang verantwoordelijk is voor de beroemde Marshall versterkers.
Zijn leven stond in het teken van muziek en instrumenten, met zijn versterkers heeft hij een belangrijke bijdrage geleverd aan de muziekwereld. Daarom, en omdat hij zijn naam verbond aan het wereldwijd bekende merk, zullen we hem nooit vergeten.
