Pioneer RMX-1000 Remix Station
Pioneer introduceert de nieuwe standaard in professionele dj-apparatuur met het indrukwekkende remixstation RMX-1000. De RMX-1000 benadert effectors en samplers op een totaal nieuwe manier. Zildjian komt met Gen16 AE cymbals
Zildjian is met zijn 400 jaar geschiedenis het oudste familiebedrijf in Amerika, en één van de 300 oudste bedrijven ter wereld. Nu, anno 2011, laten ze de wereld weer zien dat ze niet achterom kijken, maar nog steeds voorop lopen in de ontwikkeling van nieuwe technieken. Het bedrijf wordt op dit moment geleid door de 14e generatie Zildjians, die het nieuwste product hebben vernoemd naar hun kleinkinderen, de 16e generatie. De "Gen16" staat dus voor de toekomst van het Zildjian merk, en zet de toon voor bekkentechniek in de 21e eeuw. Ze noemen het zelf een heel nieuw instrument; het bekken met een echt akoestisch geluid dat dankzij de nieuwe pickup-technologie ook werkt als elektronisch cymbalpad. De duizenden gaatjes in de bekkens verminderen het volume met zo'n 80 procent. Dit betekent dat de drummer zich niet hoeft in te houden, en zich ook in stille situaties volledig kan geven op zijn instrument. Geschiedenis van de Cajon Een cajón is een handtrommel met een slagvlak van hout en komt oorspronkelijk uit Peru. In dat land wordt dit instrument veel gebruikt als begeleidingsinstrument voor dansen als de Tondero, de Zamacueca en de Peruaanse wals. De cajón is uit armoede ontstaan. Kisten met goederen erin kwamen per boot de haven binnen. Mensen die in armoede leefden zijn om zich te vermaken op die kisten gaan spelen, zo is de cajón ontstaan. Een drumstel (ook: drums) is een verzameling slagwerkinstrumenten die door een enkele persoon, een drummer, bespeeld wordt. De basisopstelling van een drumstel bestaat uit een aantal trommels en een aantal bekkens: bass drum, snare drum, high-tom, mid-tom en low-tom, floor-tom, hi-hat en cymbals / bekkens. Het hart van een drumstel bestaat uit de bass drum, de snaredrum en de hi-hat. De bassdrum wordt met een pedaal bediend en geeft de lage klanken.
