 Godin ACS SA Slim Nylon Bla… Het woordje 'Slim' (slank) in de naam van deze elektrisch-akoestische gitaar refereert aan de 1,715 inch halsbreedte bij de topkam, die maar 1/16 inch breder is dan onze standaard elektrische gitaar topkammen. Als je meestal speelt op een gitaar met een vrij smalle hals (zoals bij de meeste solidbody elektrische gitaren) dan is dit de ACS-SA voor jou. Godin gitaren uit Canada
Godin begon meer dan twintig jaar geleden met gitaren bouwen in een plaatsje in de provincie Quebec Canada genaamd La Patrie. De man waar het allemaal mee is begonnen is Robert Godin. Robert is nog steeds eigenaar van het bedrijf en hij blijft het grootste deel van de gitaren ontwerpen. Godin is een Canadees bedrijf met het hoofdkantoor gevestigd in Montreal en de gitaren worden gemaakt op diverse locaties, vijf in Quebec en één locatie in New Hampshire. Dat zijn dus maar liefst zes fabrieken verspreid over ongeveer 1000 kilometers. Maar waarom dan niet gewoon één gigantische gitaarfabriek? Hoewel er enkele voor de hand liggende nadelen zijn aan het verspreid produceren van gitaren, het voordeel is dat de kleine afdelingen een meer intieme werksfeer creëeren, waardoor iedereen meer persoonlijk betrokken is bij de bouw en dat merk je aan de instrumenten.
