Hagstrom - De terugkeer van een legende
In 1958 bouwt het Zweedse Hagstrom voor het eerst elektrische gitaren! De eerste Hagstrom gitaren hadden nog de typische celluloid afwerking, een materiaal uit de accordeonproductie van de firma Hagstrom. In de volgende jaren breidde Hagstrom hun line-up uit, tot en met de fameuze hollow-body modellen zoals de Viking, electrische bassen zoals hun legendarische 8-string, en natuurlijk hun toenmalige topmodellen: de Swede en de Superswede. Hagstrom bouwde ook een serie akoestische en klassieke gitaren in de vroege jaren 70. Toen de productie stilviel in 1983 werden Hagstrom gitaren in no-time wereldwijd een collectors’s item voor de meest veeleisende verzamelaar-muzikant. De Hagstrom modellen van vandaag hebben erg veel van de talloze features van de originele Hagstrom gitaren. Zij worden gebouwd volgens dezelfde kwaliteitsnormen van toen.
